Early Life
Olu Festus Famotibe was born and raised in Oshogbo, Osun State, Nigeria; and he is a native of Ikole-Ekiti in Ekiti State. He received his primary and secondary education in Oshogbo, where his early exposure to community life shaped his passion for service and development.

In 1992, he enrolled in the Associate Training Scheme (ATS) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), but had to discontinue due to family financial constraints. Undeterred, he developed practical skills in Oshogbo Contemporary Arts, working as an independent artist and art instructor in several primary and secondary schools. This period instilled in him resilience, creativity, and a deep appreciation for grassroots empowerment.

In 2003, he relocated to the United States in pursuit of education, professional growth, and broader opportunities for service.

Otunba Olu Festus Famotibe is a seasoned public administrator, development advocate, and community leader with extensive experience across public service, nonprofit leadership, business management, and international exposure.

Since January 2019, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Olu Festus Famotibe Foundation for Humanity (O3FH), where he provides strategic leadership focused on youth empowerment, grassroots engagement, community welfare initiatives, and advocacy for inclusive development and social justice across wards and local governments.

​In the private sector, he is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Merits O Hotels and Bar, Osogbo, Osun State, where he has successfully built organizational culture, strengthened customer-focused service delivery, and overseen operational excellence since 2018.
